MON9 (pronounced as “Monday Nine”) formed in 2007, initially conceptualized as a sessioning band for Prema Yin.

After the completion of her first EP in 2009, she and the band started working together in making new sounds. The band’s ability to enhance her ideas through their own individual talent and challenge her songwriting abilities created the decision to combine these two entities as one.

This was the beginning of MON9 and the continuation of their journey together as a unit.

The band consists of Prema Yin (Lead vocals), Isaac (Guitars), Zaim(Bass), Nish(Keyboards) and Moe (Drums).

Previously, Prema Yin’s “Eyo Eyo” has been played on high rotation regionally and internationally, namely Germany and United States. The songs are also being played on regular rotation on international web radios. Plus, regular appearances on national and regional TV and radio stations would be another indication that the band is in high demand.

Now, after the success of “Eyo Eyo”, Prema Yin & MON9 is confident to make an impact with their new material.
